Welcome to the Sunday School Storehouse!
Whether you have had many years of experience or very little experience with teaching the Word of God to children in Sunday School, welcome! This website is a “storehouse” of Sunday School resources. For a few years, my desire and prayer has been to make a website for Sunday School teachers in Japan. Most Sunday School teachers I know here spend much time putting together their own lessons and activity sheets. There is a lack of Japanese Sunday School resources available, so most teachers translate English resources or make their own from scratch. I believe it would be a great encouragement to all of us teachers if we could collect our resources and ideas and share them with each other. I’d love to expand this storehouse, and see how far God can take it, so please contribute! Though this bilingual website was originally intended for Sunday School teachers in Japan, Sunday School teachers all around the world are welcome to use these resources as well and to contribute their own (in English or Japanese).
My hope is to gather other’s creative resources along with some simple ones of my own, and have a website where teachers can get and share all things related to children’s Sunday School. Please take a look around and help yourself! 🙂 Feel free to share your own resources too! (That includes lesson outlines, activity sheets, coloring pages, game ideas, class strategies, and more!) I would love to have anything you care to share!
I’ve tried to make the activity sheets as editable as possible. There is a Word format option available for the activity sheets. Please edit them as you wish, or use parts of them to make other activity sheets! If you would like to use them as they are, there is also a PDF of each activity for a quick printing option. A word to those who wish to contribute their own activity sheets or coloring pages: If you don’t have or use Microsoft Word, it’s no problem if you send them in a different format. Pages, Open office, Text Edit, Google Docs, and good-old PDFs are all perfectly fine as well. 🙂
As the Lord leads, please freely use the resources on this website for your Sunday School! Of course, everything here is free, so please refrain from using any of these resources for the purpose of selling them. Also, please do not submit any copyright protected material, only things that can be freely posted, altered, and distributed.
Please email me any time you have a request or question! Resource contributions are very welcome! Whether we have lots of experience or little, let’s share our ideas and knowledge, call on the Lord for His grace and strength, and do our best in our Sunday Schools for the glory of God!!
